| I founded Grandconnect in 1997,
after developing my preliminary concept for a long distance
communication product for grandparents and grandchildren. My
husband and I lived in Minnesota with our then five year old
daughter (who had 4 sets of long-distance grandparents and 3
long-distance great-grandmothers) teetering on the brink of
entering elementary school. I was involved in the commercial
real estate field in brokerage and property management. After
splitting my time between my commercial brokerage business and
Grandconnect for several years, I left the real estate arena
in 2002 to focus on my family and Grandconnect full-time. |
| Grandconnect opened for business
in 2003. Werner Design Werks in Minneapolis designed the kits
and helped produce our web site. |
